Yongrui graduated from Tianjin University with a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering. He then went to the University of Wisonsin-Madison to pursue a graduate degree and graduated with a master's in chemical engineering. Currently, Yongrui is pursuing PhD degree at the Pritzker School of Molecular Engineering at the University of Chicago.
The majority of Yongrui’s research is related to extreme scale simulation of nanoparticle/polymer systems. He uses Monte Carlo simulation to study the equilibrium morphology and uses molecule dynamics to simulate the dynamic behavior of the polymer system. The de Pablo Group tries to understand the behavior of polymer systems from the molecule level.
