Soonmin Yim

Soonmin Yim received his Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science and Engineering in 2010 from the Sungkyunkwan University in Korea. He received his PhD degree in Materials Science and Engineering in 2018 from KAIST in Korea under the supervision of Professor Yeon Sik Jung. His Ph.D. works mainly focused on 2D materials and practical applications with block copolymer self-assembly. He joined PME at the University of Chicago from September 2018 as a postdoctoral researcher and currently works the supervision of Prof. Paul Nealey.

Soonmin Yim’s current research focuses on development of directed self-assembly of block copolymer with its applications, and molecular layer doping for USJ Si devices.
