Whitney Loo received her Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from MIT and her PhD in Chemical Engineering from University of California Berkeley under the supervision of Professor Nitash Balsara where she studied the molecular-level physics of block copolymer electrolytes for Lithium metal batteries. Whitney joined PME at the University of Chicago in 2020 as a UChicago postdoctoral researcher and currently works the supervision of Prof. Paul Nealey.
Whitney studied the directed self-assembly of a class of highly modular block copolymers through nanofabrication and resonant X-ray techniques.
