Siyang Wang, Ph.D.

Siyang Wang is a postdoctoral scholar at the Pritzker School of Molecular Engineering at the University of Chicago co-advised by Profs. Matthew Tirrell and Yun Fang. Siyang received her BS in Chemical Engineering from Lanzhou University in 2015 and MS in Polymer Engineering from the University of Akron in 2016, where she worked with Profs. Bryan Vogt and Kevin Cavicchi on structure control of functional mesoporous materials. After a year in the Chemistry Department of University of Cincinnati, Siyang then joined Prof. Marek Urban’s group at Clemson University where she received her PhD in Materials Science and Engineering working on self-healing polymeric materials.

Siyang’s current research focuses on engineering novel nanomaterials for the treatments of cardiovascular and fibrotic diseases.
