Soonwon Choi - Quantum Colloquium Series
Quantum Computational Sensing
Quantum computing and quantum sensing are two rapidly advancing frontiers of quantum science and technology, each with transformative potential. In this talk, Choi will discuss how their direct integration can unlock new synergies, creating promising pathways toward practical quantum advantage.
Soonwon Choi is the Victor F. Weisskopf Career Development Associate Professor of Physics at MIT. His research focuses on quantum information science and technology, and its applications for studying the out-of-equilibrium dynamics of quantum many-body systems. Choi completed his undergraduate degree in physics at Caltech in 2012 and received his PhD in physics from Harvard University in 2018. He then worked as a Miller Postdoctoral Fellow at UC Berkeley before joining MIT as an assistant professor in July 2021.
