In the development and application of advanced AI methods, UChicago PME researchers collaborate with colleagues at the University of Chicago, at Argonne National Laboratory, and at more than twenty other research institutions – both domestic and overseas. In addition, we actively partner with members of industry.
Examples of current collaborations and initiatives based around UChicago PME's AI goals include
AI-guided design-build-test-learn loops and/or autonomous discovery (“self-driving labs”)
- Manufacturing ADvanced Electronics through Printing Using Bio-based and Locally Identifiable Compounds (MADE-PUBLIC)
AI for molecular materials and systems understanding, discovery, and design
- Researchers boost vaccines and immunotherapies with machine learning to drive more effective treatments
- NRT-HDR: AI-enabled Molecular Engineering of Materials and Systems (AIMEMS) for Sustainability
- Diagnostic test combines two technologies with machine learning
- Machine learning techniques to discover new materials for hydrogen energy
